This rubric is intended to be used by in-service or pre-service teachers to evaluate an educational app prior to using it in their classroom.  This rubric was created by the Technology for Math Educators students at South Dakota State University.  
In order to use this rubric properly, we have defined various types of educational apps that might be used.  It will be helpful to remember these classifications as you complete the rubric.
Game:  an app that is entertaining and contains educational content.
Resource: an app that supports, supplements, or helps instruction (e.g. videos, tutorials, and reference materials)
Tool:  an app that could replace a device OR an app that can streamline classroom processes (e.g. geoboard, graphing calculator, video creation app, or learning management system.)
